It's on the developer's list and both Apogee and Presonus are also aware of the problems, so perhaps their next driver update may help. If not, I'm afraid the work around you've found is about all we can offer at the moment. Im trying to record both screen and audio on an older intel mac mini (circa 2009). Let me know if there's any change at all. Click on this to open your user's Library folder. There were known issues with Duet and Presonus with earlier versions of Sibelius 7. Anyone having this problem, or am I the only lucky one? According to Sibelius, I shouldn't be the only one. Finally got a response and it's so far of no help. 7.1: 7.1.3 Playback Problems on all but Built-in Output (Core Audio) - Stutteringįor anyone who's interested. I'm not having system performance problems. You can now open this package with the Installer application to install the Soundflower kernel extension. For reference, I can record multiple tracks with a buffer of 64 with software monitoring sending out multiple headphone mixes, i.e. So after any change to sounds or sound config, I have to switch audio devices to Built-in and then back to the Duet or Firepod. The problem occurs while using the after loading a new score, changing the sound config in an open score, or adding instrument(s) to an open score - anything that causes a reload of sounds (which is very slow by the way). These devices work flawlessly with all other software including Sib 6. I use both an Apogee Duet (firewire, Maestro 2) and a Presonus Firepod/FP10. On all audio devices other than the built-in output (laptop speakers) I cannot play back without stuttering after loading sounds without switching the audio engine to Built-in, leaving the dialog and then switching back to my device. I have a late 2011 Macbook Pro, OS 10.7.5, i7 quad, 8GB RAM, Sib 6.latest and recently Sin 7.1.3 (new install with latest versions of everything, no updates yet).
